Kinosoo Ridge snow resort

 There are 13 runs of varied skiing ability. Many runs are fully lit for the night and most are serviced by snowmaking capabilities ensuring great snow conditions for the entire season

Route 55 - With over 13 different paintball layouts this is the place to get away and have some fun

Motorcross Association & Quading Trails

It’s a quadding paradise—there are lots of places to ride including the Iron Horse Trail with over 300 km of trails and parks will take you down this historic route through the heart of northeast Alberta—through parkland, boreal forest, wetlands and sand dunes.

Motor Cross Association has its its own track in Cold Lake - lots of hilly terrain and single & family orientated  

Golfing

There are 2 golf courses in Cold Lake - The Cold Lake Golf and Winter Club is located on 4 Wing Cold Lake & Grand Centre Golf and Country Club located a few miles east of Cold Lake

Bird Watching

Birding: One of the richest birding areas in Alberta is located around Cold Lake. Over 200 species of birds are supported with clear water lakes, marshy wetlands or mixed wood boreal forest habitats.  From mid-May to mid-June is the best time of year to see and hear most of the birds in our area.

Mountain Biking | Hiking | Cross Country Sking

The Iron Horse Trail is a Canadian gem; a reincarnation of abandoned railroad tracks that now forms a part of the Trans Canada Trail. The Iron Horse's 300 kilometres of trail and can be used for hiking, with 20 rest stops along its route. The Provincial Park has some great view of the Lake. located just 2 km north east outside of Cold Lake.

Walking Trails

Cold Lake has some of the most beautiful walking trails. The Millenium Trail is a walking and cycling trail leading from the Cold Lake Marina to CFB Cold Lake. The trail is maintained year-round. Special needs vehicles only are allowed. 

Hunting

 Cold Lake area offers a wide variety of wildlife, ranging from moose and deer to black bears and waterfowl. Whitetail deer and moose are the most popular game animal in the region. Black bear are plentiful and there are also a number of game birds such as geese, ducks and ruffed grouse for the avid hunter in the family. Baseball Diamonds

 There are several baseball diamonds in the Area - Imperial Park by the Energy Center, JJ Parr / Military Base are the main ones in Cold Lake
